People's Defense Forces Press Office (HPG-BIM) reported that Turkish jets have bombed Zap, Dola (Valley) Martyr Harun, Avashin, Gare and Metina areas of guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones on November 2nd. HPG also reported bombardments by Turkish troops deployed at the border of guerrilla zones in South Kurdistan territory.

HPG-BIM released a written statement regarding the ongoing attacks, airstrikes and reconnaissance activities by the Turkish military. Accordingly;

Turkish aircraft shelled Zap region's Çemço area, surroundings of Kokerê village, Martyr Reşit Cemetery and the mosque in the graveyard between 20.00 - 22.30 on November 2. In addition, Turkish jets also bombed the Xeregol hill between 17.30 – 18.00 the same day.

Between 21.30 - 23.00 the same day, Turkish jets conducted a bombardment on Dola Martyr Harun and the villages of Rızkê and Sorgulê in Qandil region.

Between 16.00 yesterday and 02.30 today, Turkish aircraft bombed Martyr Gafur, Martyr Rahime, Martyr Afad hills and the villages of Satê and Mervanos at the border to Avashin region.

Between 21.00 – 23.00 yesterday, Turkish jets intensely shelled the villages of Yekmal, Siyanê, Şeranê, Sarkê in Garê area, which greatly damaged the fields of the local people.

Another bombardment by Turkish aircraft targeted Yekmalê village and the areas of Kanireş and Martyrs' Cemetery between 22.00 – 00.00 yesterday.

BOMBARDMENT FROM BORDER POSTS

Turkish troops deployed around Gülyazı Artillery Regiment (Böjeh), Hill Maymun guard post and Hill Martyr Kendal conducted bombardments against Derîyê Dawetîya area between 07.30 – 11.30 yesterday.

Troops at Hill Sinek and Hill Maymun guard posts shelled Kato Silê area with howitzer, mortar and tank fire between 09.30 – 19.00 yesterday.

Kuro Şino hill was shelled by troops at Serbesta guard post at Metina border between 17.00 – 19.00, and by troops at Aruş guard post between 09.30 - 11.30 and 14.30 – 15.00 yesterday.

RECONNAISSANCE ACTIVITIES

Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles performed reconnaissance flights over;

Zap and Avashin regions between 09:30 yesterday and 11:00 today,

Metina area between 21:30 yesterday and 02:30 today,

Heftanin border area between 17:00 yesterday and 01:00 today.

HPG also reported an intense activity of Turkish jets over;

Qandil region between 11.00 – 12.00 yesterday,

Garê area between 12.00 – 13.00,

Xakurkê area between 21.00 – 22.00,

Heftanin area between 21.00 – 00.00,

Metina and Zap region between 21.00 yesterday and 02:30 today.

In the meantime, reconnaissance flights over Cudi area of Botan region continue since 18:00 on November 1.

Between 14.00 and 19.00 on November 1, troops at Gırê Meydana and Grê Spî guard posts in Qıleban (Uludere) district of Şırnak shelled the areas of Gelîyê Mijin and Gelîyê Hilal with howitzer and mortar fire.

Intense reconnaissance activities of Turkish aircraft over Gabar area of Botan region continue for the past five days.
