Iranian forces raided homes and detained at least 10 Kurds in Chaldoran, a border town in Rojhilat Kurdistan.
According to Kurdistan Human Rights Network, 10 Kurds were detained by Iranian forces in Chaldoran. The detained people are accused of supporting Kurdish groups in the region.
On November 3, eight Iranian soldiers were killed at Baba Nur mountain near Chaldoran. As a result, citizens are living in a state of fear and terror due to the strict security measures enforced in Chaldoran border area following the clash.
“At least six of these citizens were arrested on Nov 8 and 9 while the security forces have also started a new wave of arrests against Kurdish citizens in Chaldoran” a source speaking to KHRN said.
Bahman Brouki Milan (25), Mohammad Khalili (26), Kamal Heydanloo (40), Khales Heydanloo (30), Edris Heydanloo (35), Ghazanfar Heydanloo (27), Soleiman Dlayim and Ahmad Dlayi Milan (23) are among the detained.
Despite their families’ follow-ups, the judicial and intelligence authorities have still not provided any information about the reason for the arrest of these detainees and where they are being held.
