According to local sources, Iranian soldiers shoot two kolbers named Ewroz Badpa and Simko Celebi in Maku, a province of Urumiyah.
Another kolber, first name Ibrahim, was shot in the border region near Serdest.
Two other unidentified kolbers were also shot by Iranian border guards in Keymene village of Hewreman and Zencan. One of the kolbers is in critical condition.
Recently Iran tightened its borders against kolbers in the region. Kolbers are hired by traders to bring goods from Iraq which are cheaper.
In September and October, there were demonstrations protesting the killing of kolbers in Mahabad and Sine. Several hundred were arrested.
