ISIS gangs in Manbij forming a defense line by using civilians as a shield
As the operation to liberate Manbij continues for one month now, ISIS gangs stranded in Manbij city center are using civilians as a shield.
ISIS gangs are forming a defense line by gathering thousands of Manbij residents in an area 500 meters to the Al-Muxeta market in the city center.
The defense line formed by the gangs with civilians starts from the Cizîr road neighborhood and involves the Bustan Al-Yastî, Til Al-Yastî and Al-Hewatmê region in the northeastern side of the city, the Ceylawî region on Jarablus road to the north, and the Al-Sherîha area of Al-Serib region to the northwest.
On the other hand, reports are coming through that gangs have encircled civilians on the line extending from Al-Sherîha to Bustan Al-Hedad and from Mehkûş region to Al-Hezawnê neighborhood.
While civilians in Resim Al-Axder and Al-Sherîha junction to the west of the city have reached the areas controlled by Manbij Military Council fighters, gangs in this region are forcing civilians out of their homes and planting mines in these houses.
