Jaysh al-Thuwar: We will not allow the invasion of our lands by Turkey
Jaysh al-Thuwar stated that they will continue to protect the people in Shehba region and will not allow a Turkish invasion of their lands.
Jaysh al-Thuwar Press Office released a written statement about the ongoing clashes in Shehba region.
The statement said that:
“Occupying Turkish army and affiliated gang groups started to conduct intensified attacks after our forces liberated villages in northern Aleppo from ISIS occupation. Turkish army therewith attacked our forces with artillery and tank fire to the accompaniment of fighters jets and drones.
The attacks that began on October 19 lasted till October 22, and still continue in some areas.
The Turkish army bombed the villages of Herbel, Al-Hesiye, Al-Semûqe, Al-Werdiye, Hisacik and Um Al-Hosh with various heavy weapons. With these attacks, the Turkish army and affiliated gangs intended to advance towards the Al-Semûqe and Um Al-Hosh villages.
15 fighters of ours fell as martyrs during the Turkish army's attacks on October 19, and 5 others during the attacks on other days.
Our fighters put up brave resistance against the terror and invasion of the Turkish army and affiliated gang groups.
We reiterate our promise to follow in the footsteps of our martyrs and not allow the invasion of our lands by the Turkish state."
