KCK calls for all-out struggle against the Turkish state atrocity

KCK has released a statement calling for all-out struggle against the atrocity of the Turkish state forces in Northern Kurdistan territory.

In its statement, KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Co-Presidency stressed that the atrocity and repression perpetrated by the AKP government together with the MHP (Nationalist Movement Party) through political coups after the June 7, 2015 elections and the beginning of the State of Emergency on July 20, 2016 exceeded the repression executed in Turkey during the periods of the 12 September 1980 military coup and 1990s.

"What the AKP-MHP government has done over the past two years has never been committed in any period since the Dersim genocide of 1938. The AKP-MHP ruling considers all the Kurds to be an enemy and the government wants to finalize the genocide of Kurds with this severe atrocity."

"THE AKP-MHP FASCIST RULING'S CHARACTER COULD COMMIT ANY ATROCITY"

Calling attention to the siege and destruction ongoing in Nusaybin's Xerabê Bava village for over a week, KCK said: "All the villagers -elderly, women and children alike- are being subjected to a torture and cruelty. State forces are posing with the bodies of the people they kill, just like what they did during the 1990s. The fascist AKP-MHP government attacking the dead and cemeteries reveals that they have a character that could commit any atrocity and any kind of inhumane practice in order to accomplish the Kurdish genocide they started with the atrocity perpetrated in Kurdish cities in 2016. Throughout history, those fearing to lose the power have always enhanced their atrocities. Similarly, the AKP-MHP ruling is committing this much atrocity in order to keep the genocidal colonialism standing. What is being done in Xerabê Bava is an attack targeting not only one single village but all the Kurdish people."

"OUR PEOPLE MUST MANIFEST THEIR REACTION AGAINST THE ATTACKS"

KCK described the revocation of HDP Co-chair Figen Yüksekdağ's parliamentary membership as a new step after the arrests of thousands of politicians, dozens of co-mayors and deputies that aim to deny and break the will of the Kurdish people.

"On one hand, they are executing atrocity against the people, as is the case in Xerabê Bava, on the other, they are continuing their attacks to break the political will of the Kurdish people. It is not possible to end these practices without waging a many-sided and committed struggle against this genocidal colonialism. A democratic Turkey and a free Kurdistan free of repression and atrocity can only be created by defeating these genocidal policies through struggle.

Our people must manifest their reaction against the atrocity in Xerabê Bava, arrests and attacks aiming to break their will. Stopping the atrocity and hindering more cases of Xerabê Bava can only be made possible through struggle. The genocidal AKP-MHP ruling wants to prolong its life through repression and cruelty. However, the Kurdish people have always stood and fought against such cruel periods for dozens of years, and the freedom struggle of the Kurdish people overcame all these periods only by growing stronger. With the struggle waged against the genocidal fascist AKP-MHP ruling, the freedom struggle of the Kurdish people will grow stronger. Once the genocidal colonialists are defeated in this final battle, Turkey will inevitably be democratized and the Kurdish people will be liberated."

"GENOCIDAL COLONIALISM WILL DEFINITIVELY BE DEFEATED"

The genocidal colonialism will definitively be defeated and our freedom struggle will definitively triumph. The attack on Xerabê Bava and the atrocity against the people will shorten the life of genocidal colonialism. Now that the genocidal colonialism has occupied the cities, our people should transform the neighborhoods and streets an area of organization and action against this atrocity. The Kurdish people should manifest their reaction against the Xerabê Bava attack everywhere, and reveal their rage against genocidal colonialism.

The AKP-MHP government's atrocity and enmity in Xerabê Bava and the repression of politicians reveal why the Kurdish people and democratic forces will vote 'No' in the referendum."
