KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Co-Presidency has released a statement calling upon the people in the areas of self-rule to avoid leaving their streets, neighborhoods and towns, stressing that refusing to leave was the greatest resistance against the ongoing onslaught.

'TURKISH STATE IS LYING ABOUT KILLING OF CIVILIANS'

KCK underlined that the Turkish state is conducting a very fierce aggression against the Kurdish areas of self-rule with tank and artillery fire which claims lives of more women, children and youths every day. "The Turkish state is telling a great lie by saying that they strictly avoid killing civilian people. This lie by Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu aims to distort the truths and avoid emergence of probable worldwide reactions against Turkey. The whole world and Turkey's public opinion should know that all the civilians including baby Miray and her grandfather have been killed by Turkish military and police forces", KCK said.

The statement pointed out that there has occurred no close combat between Turkish forces and those resisting in neighborhoods yet, and the state is just shelling the neighborhoods with tank and artillery fire at random from long distance, which consequently claims lives of countless civilians. KCK noted that on the other hand police and snipers positioned at high locations shoot every single person and living being that moves in targeted neighborhoods.

'TURKISH STATE COMPETES WITH ISIS IN DESTRUCTION'

According to KCK, the Turkish state resorts to dirtier methods now upon its continued failure to break the Kurdish people's resistance, and no power except for ISIS has ever devastated cities to such an extend.

"Turkish state implements its century-old displacement policy in Kurdistan over the areas of self-rule now. Turkey competes with ISIS in destruction, and explicitly wants to commit another Dersim massacre today."

'TURKEY WANTS TO DISPLACE KURDS BY COMMITTING A WAR CRIME'

KCK recalled that the Turkish state is conducting heaviest attacks on Kurdish towns in line with the war decision it made at the MGK (National Security Council) meeting on 30 October 2014, noting that rejection of the Dolmabahçe Agreement and aggravation of the isolation on Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan was a part of this decision of war.

KCK also pointed out that; "In addition to the intensified tank and artillery attacks, the Turkish state is making an effort to make the Kurdish people leave the areas of resistance by enhancing the psychological warfare through the government-controlled media. This is the reason why neighborhoods are being targeted by a deliberate and random aggression which aims a displacement by means of a war crime targeting the people."

'EVERYONE SHOULD RISE UP'

The statement by Kurdistan Communities Union called upon all Kurdistan people to rise up and take action against the siege committed and the displacement imposed by Turkish military and police forces through random bombardments and murder of civilians; women children and elderly all alike. KCK underlined that the people must embrace the resistance and repel the attacks of Turkish state that wants to slaughter Kurds.

'OUR PEOPLE WILL TRIUMPH THROUGH RESISTANCE'

KCK remarked that people living in the areas of resistance should avoid leaving their streets, neighborhoods and towns, excluding only those in bad health, stressing that remaining in the areas under attack was the greatest resistance, and accomplishment of the resistance depended on this.

"Our people should show the greatest solidarity of their history and resist in mass in order to frustrate the goals of the cruel. And, our resisting people should know that these attacks will be repelled and the popular resistance will triumph as long as it continues."

KCK also called upon the peoples and democracy forces of Turkey to show solidarity with the Kurdish people with the awareness that this resistance is also for the democratization of Turkey.

Putting emphasis on the essentiality of forming a circle of struggle to pave the way for a democratic Turkey and free life for all peoples, KCK added that this support to resistance will defeat all the reactionism in Turkey and ensure a democratic unity on the basis of fraternity of Turkey's peoples.
