KDP delegation meets with PUK and Goran for a solution to the crisis

Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) has today resumed the official talks it started in Hewler two weeks ago in order to come up with a solution to the political, diplomatic and economic crisis in the region.
The KDP delegation led by Politburo Secretary Fazıl Mirani visited the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Politburo Headquarters today afternoon. The KDP delegation also involved Politburo members Ezeddin Berwari, Mehmud Mihemed, Kekemin Necar, Ehmed Kani and Dilşad Şeban.
The KDP delegation was welcomed by PUK Politburo Official Mele Bextiyar and Politburo members Hekim Qadir, Rifhet Ebdullah, Şex Cehfer, Rizgar Eli, Omer Fetah and Sedi Ehmed Pire.
A joint press briefing was held following the meeting between two sides.
Speaking here, Mele Bextiyar said the meeting was positive, recalling that they had recently met with KDP President Masoud Barzani regarding a resolution to the crisis in the region.
Speaking after, KDP Politburo Secretary Fazıl Mirani said the resolution project they have discussed is the one put forward by KDP President Masoud Barzani. Mirani remarked that there needs to be peace and dialogue between political sides in order for the discussion of this project, noting that the main goal of this visit of theirs was to develop dialogue.
Mirani pointed out that discussions for a solution could take place once dialogue is established between political parties.
The KDP delegation visiting political parties on Masoud Barzani's call later met with officials from the Goran Movement in the afternoon. The meeting was held in the house of Goran Movement Secretary General Newshirvan Mistefa in Sulaimani.
The Goran delegation attending the meeting was comprised of Goran Movement Executive Board members Ömer Seyid Eli, Celal Cewher and Cemal Mihemed as well as Political Research Room member Dr. İsmail Namiq.
The meeting is reported to be ongoing and the KDP delegation is expected to visit Tevgera Islami afterwards.
