Demonstrations against the government continue across Southern Kurdistan. In the town of Rania, which is witnessing demonstrations with strong participation, Asayish (public security) forces attacked the demonstrators, killing 6 of them and wounding at least 103 others. There is urgent need for blood for 80 of the wounded.
Thousands showed their reactions against the government in front of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) as mass demonstrations continue.
Anti-government protests continue in Sulaymaniyah, Halabja, Koyê, Kifrê, Qeladizê, Khurmal, Avreze, Chamchamal, Taqtaq, Sharezûr, Warma and Akra for the second day. Dozens have been wounded as a result of attacks by asayish forces.
The killing of six people and wounding of 103 others by security forces incited further protests in Rania where people set the KDP office on fire at 19:00 local time Tuesday evening. People are waiting in front of the KDP office.
