KNK delegation meets with political groups in Kurdistan Regional parliament

A delegation from the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) met with political groups in the Kurdistan Regional parliament.

The delegation, led by KNK co-chair Zeynep Murat, started its visit to South Kurdistan on 14 September.

The KNK delegation, which made contacts in the Kurdistan Region in Hewler, first met with Parliament Speaker Rêwaz Fayeq.

While expressing his satisfaction with the meeting, Fayeq hoped that the Kurdistan Region Parliament would be a place where decisions would be taken for the Kurdish people.

KNK co-chair Zeynep Murat, on the other hand, said that the Kurdistan Regional Parliament is a result of the long-term sacrifices made by the Kurdish people.

Emphasizing that this is an achievement that needs to be protected, Murat said: "The Kurdistan Regional Parliament should fulfil its main role and support the democratization of Kurdistan and the struggles in other parts of Kurdistan."

The KNK delegation visited the PUK, Goran, Yeni Nesil, Komela Dadgeri and Yekgirtûya Islamic movements, which have groups in the parliament.
