KONGRA-GEL Co-Presidency has issued a statement regarding the genocidal attacks of the Turkish state in Xerabê Bava village of Mardin's Nusaybin district.

The statement by KONGRA-GEL said the followings:

“The Turkish state fascism represented by the Erdoğan-Bahçeli alliance wants to achieve their desired results in the Kurdish villages by continuing the policies implemented in Dersim Genocide and the previous massacres they committed in Kurdish cities.

The savage policies they started in Nusaybin's Xerabê Bava village have now been expanded to the villages of Talatê and Cibilgirav which have been involved in the zone of military operations. It is very clear that this plan is not restricted with these villages alone.

With the savagery they commit in villages, state forces want to make the people and animals starve to death. With these policies, they want to make the living areas of our people inhabitable, and to make the people either surrender or migrate. They think they can obtain results with the classical sense of colonialism. By invading Kurdish cities and villages with military, police and paramilitary forces, they want to gain dominance over this territory.

The genocidal massacres perpetrated by the Turkish state against the Kurdish people during 1930s and 1990s used to be committed in a disguised and unidentified manner. However, it is not possible for them to do the same thing today. Despite all the efforts of the mainstream media, the savagery executed there is conveyed to the public. The Erdoğan-Bahçeli alliance is directly responsible for the savagery and massacres being perpetrated. Nothing will ever remain unidentified and every massacre will be retaliated in kind.

The fascist Erdoğan-Bahçeli alliance aims to receive popular support with the help of these policies before the referendum, as they are on the other hand possessed by the fear of the Freedom Movement's revolutionary rage that will rise with the spring. For this reason, they want to achieve some results before the spring. Still, fear is of no use. They will give an account for every thing they have done one by one.

Our people should never leave the besieged villages alone. The democrat and progressive public opinion in Turkey should show active support to our people living in these villages. This process must arise despite all the policies of the fascist Erdoğan-Bahçeli alliance. Opposing these fascist policies will directly influence the referendum works.

Our people in Europe and anywhere else should create a public opinion in the most effective way against the savagery in Xerabê Bava, Talatê and Cibilgirav villages. With their actions, they should be in solidarity with the residents of these villages, and embrace them. This is a mission of patriotism and and humanity for everyone."
