Kurdish political constituents in Turkey and North Kurdistan have declared mobilization of an all-out resistance against the genocidal onslaught of the AKP government.
Kurdish political constituents in Turkey and North Kurdistan have declared mobilization of an all-out resistance against the genocidal onslaught of the AKP government.
Kurdish political constituents in Turkey and North Kurdistan gathered for a meeting in the main Kurdish city Amed yesterday.
Around a thousand politicians led by Democratic Society Congress (DTK), Free Women's Congress (KJA), Democratic Regions' Party (DBP) and Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) discussed the developments in the Middle East, Kurdistan and Turkey, and made significant decisions. All co-mayors of the DBP-held municipalities and executives of all Kurdish institutions attended the meeting.
The final resolution of the meeting which was held with the motto “Let's get organised with spirit of mobilization, and triumph by resisting” has been released today.
Accordingly, the meeting began with an apology to the Kurdistan people for politicians' failure to fulfill the responsibilities towards those who resisted during the self-rule process, and a promise to protect this unprecedented will and heritage of resistance.
The final resolution called attention to the ongoing war defined as the World War III, and the position of Kurdistan in the heart of the Middle East, the scene of this war, saying: “It is in our hands, more than ever, to eliminate the threats of massacre caused by the war, and to determine our freedom and status by using the existing opportunities.
ORGANISED RESISTANCE IS ONLY WAY TO TRIUMPH
The final resolution of Kurdish political constituents stated the followings:
“History has proved that organised resistance with a spirit of unity is the only way to triumph. We are at the dawn of a total destruction or freedom. During this historic process, our major source of morale will be the commitment, tenacity, determination and heritage left by those who vowed to resist to the end. Our 40-year-old struggle has brought about major achievements, at the cost of heavy prices, and destroyed the hope of the occupying forces that have today resorted to preparations for a genocide under the guise of a 'Collapse Plan' after facing with our organised people and struggle. Erdoğan's AKP regime has started the biggest attack of history against Kurds after the revolution realized in Rojava and the achievement of Northern Kurdistan in June 7 elections. We as the organised will of the Kurdish people declare a mobilization of all-out resistance against this recent genocidal onslaught.
The constituents attending the meeting made the following determinations and decisions in the face of this situation:
As the Middle East is being redesigned, every part of Kurdistan is facing a total annihilation attack by the sovereign powers. The AKP government is the leader of the genocide and denial imposed on the Kurdish people, as the onslaught plan being developed essentially targets Northern Kurdistan and Rojava.
Our mountains and villages are being bombed, our cities being torn down, our municipalities being seized through an appointment of trustees, Kurdish press and opposition media outlets being silenced, those embracing their Kurdish identity being expelled from state institutions, politicians being taken hostage, an unprecedented genocidal policy being pursued against Kurdish women and their gains. Essentially, the Kurdish people and the democrat-opponent circles in Turkey are kind of being subject to state terror.
WE SHALL TAKE NO STEPS BACK
The dimension of this extensive onslaught is no doubt related with the level reached by our Freedom Struggle today. We shall take no step back nor bow down in the face of these attacks. Kurdish society is carrying on the resistance they started with the Freedom Movement at any cost. The only way against this all-out onslaught concept is an all-out resistance with a spirit of mobilization. We thus start an initiative of organisation and action for great resistance and victory.
OUR STRUGGLE BASED ON THE LIBERATION OF OUR PEOPLE AND LEADER
Against the policy of genocidal denial, it became a must for us to enhance the struggle with one heart and one agenda. The history of our struggle has shown that individual, familial and institutional liberation and success has no meaning. The basic goal of our struggle is the liberation of our people and Leader Apo.
For this reason, we as those who have undertaken the mission of leadership will form a line of resistance together with our people as a basic duty in this process which bears major gains but also major dangers. We cannot have a mission other than defeating the policy of genocide imposed on us and ensuring the liberation of our people. For sure, it is an honour for us to serve in the institutions of the people but those who fail to fulfill the mission of leadership and insist on personal agendas during this historic process will be called to account before history. The mission of the leading ones is to be as tenacious and as devoted as the people.
We call upon our patriotic people, all the democratic circles and all those with a belief to join this resistance and take their place against this fascist wave.
Genocidal and sovereign powers are trying to resurrect betrayal in Kurdistan in the same way they did in the past. Through the networks of betrayal, they want to legitimise the genocide and massacres imposed on the Kurdish people. We call on all those who have been an instrument to the AKP's genocidal policies, no matter for which reason, to abandon the side of the state's atrocity and to take sides with the struggle of the aggrieved Kurdish people.
Today is the day when we will either win or lose another century eventually. Our moral, political and social responsibility and our historic mission orders us to not bow down but to resist against the colonialist aggression. Without depending our hope for freedom and liberation on any other power, we will triumph on the basis of our self-power.”
