Kurdish teacher sentenced to 11 years in prison in Iran

Iran sentenced Kurdish teacher Seywan Ibrahimi to 11 years in prison.

According to the local Iranian press, Seywan Ibrahimi, a Kurdish teacher from Sine (Sanandaj) in Eastern Kurdistan, was sentenced to 11 years in prison.

According to reports, an Iranian court sentenced Seywan Ibrahimi to 10 years in prison for 'establishing an organisation to disrupt security' and 1 year in prison for 'anti-government propaganda'.

It is learned that Seywan İbrahimi is the husband of Zara Muhammedi, a Kurdish teacher who was sentenced to 5 years in prison last year and then released within the scope of general amnesty.
