The Kurdistan Region Parliamentary Committee visited the Choman region this morning. After the visit, the committee will prepare a report on the bombings carried out by Iran and the Turkish state in the region.
The commission first met with the regional authorities in Choman and addressed the security problems and the bombings. After the meeting, commission members paid a visit to the village of Werd, which was evacuated due to the Iranian bombings.
Rêving Hiruri, Chair of the Peshmerga and Internal Affairs Committee of the Kurdistan Region Parliament, made a press statement concerning the meeting of the commission.
“We came here to investigate the Iranian and Turkish attacks on the Balekayeti and Bradost regions. After the visit, we will prepare a report on the attacks and submit it to the Prime Minister, the President, the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament and the Kurdistan Region officials. The report intends to stop these attacks and to ask for compensation for the damages,” Hiruri said.
According to available information, the commission continues its investigations in Sidekan in the Bradost region.
