The Rojava delegation holding official talks in Luxembourg attended a conference titled 'Life for Kobanê' at the well-known theater hall 'Theatre de Casemates' yesterday. The conference was attended by 100 politicians, journalists, writers and artists from France and Luxembourg.
Delegation members Cezire Canton Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdulkerim Ömer, YPJ Spokeswoman Nesrin Abdullah and YPJ Official for Foreign Affairs İman Derwis shared their proposals for a resolution to the Syrian conflict.
Writer Claude Frisoni made the opening speech of the conference, which was followed by the speech of French politician Bertrand Mertz, Executive Board Member of the Socialist Party. Mertz talked about the problems in the Middle East, and pointed to democratic confederalism as solution.
After Mertiz's speech, Rojava delegation spoke about the ongoing crisis in Syria, the current situation in Rojava, fight against gang groups, Kurds' fight against terrorism, and the stance of Kurdish women in this regard.
The conference which also witnessed a discussion on Geneva-3 talks lasted 2 hours.
