While a massacre of civilians by state forces continues across the Kurdish region, operations of political genocide against Kurdish population and institutions are also going on. A number of people have been taken into custody in today's raid and detention operations by police forces.

VAN

Police raided the DBP building and many houses in Erciş district of Van this morning. Many people including DBP district executives Erol Cengiz and Erhan Basut, Eğitim Sen Union members Yakup Sekin, Cengiz Meral and Ömer Sayıner have been detained in the operation. A detailed search in the building continues.

Former co-chair of DBP Van branch, Münir Aras, was also detained in Van today, and taken to Erciş district police headquarters.

MUŞ

Out of 9 people who were detained in police raid on DBP office and houses in Malazgirt district of Muş three days ago, Ahmet Gönül, Ercan Çetin and Mehmet Önal have been referred to prosecutor's office. The three were later remanded in custody and sent to Muş E Type Closed Prison on alleged grounds of "membership to a terrorist organisation".

ŞIRNAK

Turkish military and police forces raided a number of houses in Tilqebin (Başverimli) town of Şırnak's Silopi district despite a lack of search warrant. Many people have reportedly been taken into custody in the ongoing raid operation.

AMED

In Bismil district of Amed, special operation police conducted a raid on the Association of Equal and Free Citizens and many houses in Fırat neighborhood earlier today. Müjdat Yıldız (30), Şaban Yeğin(45) and Sabri Araz (55) were detained and taken to Bismil police headquarters.
