Maxmur People's Democratic Council denies Turkish intelligence operation in the camp

Maxmur People's Democratic Council denied the allegations that the Turkish intelligence, MIT, captured two guerrillas in Maxmur.

The Turkish state had recently claimed that its secret services, MIT, carried out an operation in Maxmur camp and kidnapped two people said to be guerrillas.

The Maxmur People's Democratic Council denied the claim. Issuing a written statement, the People's Council said: "As the people of the Martyr Rustem Cudi (Maxmur) Refugee Camp, we have been facing air, ground as well as psychological attacks by the Turkish state for 28 years. Despite all attacks, we continue to resist."

The statement continued: “Our resistance deals blows to the invading Turkish state. For this reason, the Turkish state resorts to special war methods.

The Turkish state claimed that the Turkish MIT carried out an operation against Maxmur and detained 2 guerrillas in the operation.

As Maxmur People's Council, we state that the claim made by the Turkish state does not reflect the truth, and that such an operation did not take place in Maxmur."
