The countryside of Amed’s Lice district is witnessing increased activities by the Turkish military since Friday evening when helicopters airdropped hundreds of soldiers in Dewaxey hamlet under the village of Yalımlı (Xosor) at around 20:00 o’clock.

It is alleged that armed confrontation erupted in this area at midnight after the start of the Turkish military operation.

The clash, which could be heard from surrounding villages, continued for a while. The military operation continues and helicopters are flying over the villages in the region.
