State forces launched an operation near the villages of Qulan, Gulîce and Baska in Muş’s Varto (Gimgim) district. Soldiers have been transported to the area in civilian cars, and have been placed on strategic hilltops.

Local sources report that soldiers have also been on an operation near the forest and creek between the villages of Qeremêş and Goma Gorgo.
