5.0 earthquake hit Kermanshah on Sunday causing damage and injuries. Hospital sources in Kermanshah said that 53 people are being treated for minor to moderate injuries.
The city was hit by a 7.3 magnitude earthquake on the evening of November 12, 2017 leaving 620 people dead and another 12,000 injured in Iran.
Since the November 12 earthquake — which was the deadliest in the world in 2017 — 1,600 aftershocks have continued to rock Kermanshah and the surrounding areas.
