According to local sources, several mortars hit Serbazi and Hey Teyare neighbourhoods on Saturday night. Mortars hit at least four homes killing two, including one child.

Fifteen were wounded in the attack and taken to hospitals in Kirkuk.

No group claimed the responsibility for the attack.

In another development, an armed group stopped vehicles in Qadirkerem junction between Tuz Khurmatu and set several vehicles ablaze. At least one person was abducted.
