A huge blast has occurred during the passage of an armored military vehicle in Mardin's Dargeçit district earlier this morning.

Two members of special operation teams have reportedly been wounded in the blast which left the armored vehicle damaged at 07:00 in the morning.

Shrapnel pieces from the blast hit a civilian, Ramazan Tari (47), who lost his life while being referred to hospital with a heavy injury.

Two other civilians passing by the scene as the blast occurred have also been injured and taken under treatment at Dargeçit State Hospital.

In the meantime, police and special operation teams have blockaded the scene with armored vehicles.
