One civilian killed another wounded in Cizre

35-year-old civilian Mehmet Kaplan, father of three, was shot dead in the head on Ömer Hayyam Street of Cudi neighborhood Monday afternoon. Kaplan's body is being held in the neighborhood due to the ongoing aggression.

On the other hand, tank and artillery fire on Şah neighborhood wounded a child by the name of Hamsum İcüz. HDP MP Faysal Sarıyıldız has managed to take the boy from the neighborhood, who was later rushed to Cizre State Hospital. Sarıyıldız said İcüz was in life-threatening condition, adding that there were some other residents wounded in the attacks, but they couldn't be reached due to the aggression.

In the meantime, 16-year-old Hüseyin Paksoy who has been suffering wounds for 4 days has finally been retrieved from Nur neighborhood where he had been shot. Paksoy has been taken to Cizre State Hospital with an ambulance of the municipality. He is reported to be in critical condition.

Body of Mehmet Rıdvan Kaymaz, who was killed in last night's onslaught on Sur neighborhood, has also been retrieved by residents and taken to hospital.

Nur, Cudi and Sur neighborhoods remain under heavy fire by tanks and armored vehicles deployed on hills overlooking the town.
