HPG Media Center released a written statement on guerilla actions and announced that HPG and YJA-STAR guerillas carried out an action against the soldiers on an operation between the Pira Zeynê and Temıra villages of Amed’s Kulp district at 19:00 on August 9. HPG stated that1 major and 3 soldiers were killed, and 4 soldiers and 3 village guards were injured during the guerilla action.

The Media Center said that the Turkish army bombarded the villages of Beşirtê, Metmurê, Derıkê, Bamıtnê, Reşanê and Dehla Gurê in Amed’s Lice district, Mala Çalê, Mala Gır, Hındês, Cumatê and Şêlıma in Farqin district, and Godernê, Sehtê, Beytülbeyan, Barınê, Temıra and Pıra Zeynê in Pasur district with Kobra-type helicopters on August 10. HPG noted that the soldiers withdrew from the villages without yielding any results.

HPG Media Center stated that guerillas carried out a roadblock between Amed and Hani and destroyed a truck carrying materials to a military post nearby. The driver of the truck was released after being warned, and soldiers bombarded the area with Kobra-type helicopters between 22:00 and 02:00 on the same day.

3 SOLDIERS KILLED IN BAŞKALE

HPG stated that guerillas carried out an action as part of the Martyr Xebat Aktepe against soldiers digging trenches near the Bibanê outpost in the Şerefhan region of Van’s Başkale district at 18:30 on August 12. 3 soldiers were killed and 1 soldier was injured during the action, and the Turkish army carried its dead and injured soldiers with civilian vehicles and randomly bombarded the area with tanks.

CONSTRUCTION VEHICLES HIT

The Media Center said that HPG guerillas hit the soldiers and construction vehicles near the Erîş outpost in Hakkari’s Çukurca district at 07:50 on August 12. 1 digger was damaged and the numbers of dead and injured soldiers have not yet been clarified.

1 VILLAGE GUARD KILLED

HPG announced that guerillas carried out a roadblock action between Şırnak and Beytüşşebap at 16:00 on August 12, and destroyed the vehicle of Çeman village AKP Youth Branch President Fikret Adıyaman, who has been collaborating with the AKP and the Turkish state. Village guards from Jirki tribe and soldiers arrived at the area and shot fires at the guerillas around 17:00, and 1 village guard was killed and another was injured during the clashes despite the sensitivity the guerillas show in not clashing with the village guards. Fikret Adıyaman was arrested by the guerillas, and the clashes between the guerillas and state forces continue.
