One day after the liberation of Shengal town centre on 13 November, HPG Shengal Command and YBŞ General Command launched a fresh offensive to liberate the villages around Shilo Valley within the scope of the operation to liberate the entire Shengal territory from ISIS gangs.

Within the scope of the operation aimed at liberating villages around Shilo valley, the villages of Meydana, Shengal, Hesekê, Mosul and Derazor-Raqqa crossroads have been liberated.

The operation is being participated by forces of HPG (People's Defense Forces), YJA-Star (Free Women's Troops), YBŞ (Shengal Resistance Units) and YPJ-Shengal (Women's Defense Units).
