People have rushed to Newroz areas to celebrate the holiday in Dêrik, Girkê Legê, Tirbespiyê, Qamişlo, Amudê, Dirbêsiyê, Serêkaniyê, Til Temir and Hesekê cities of Rojava, West Kurdistan.

People in the Cizîr Canton will celebrate Nowroz 2016 in six centers with the motto 'From Free Rojava to Democratic Federalism', “Leader Apo’s Freedom is the Freedom of Peoples” and “Resistance is honor”. Kurdish people have started making their way to the areas that celebrations will be held in.

Carrying posters of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and those who lost their lives in the struggle for freedom, people march to celebration grounds with slogans of “The people of Cizîr, Nusaybin, Amed, Sur are not alone”.

Security forces have taken intense security measures in the celebration grounds.

Newroz celebrations in Kobanê have begun under the main slogan 'From Free Rojava to Democratic Federalism'.

People of Kobanê, in national dresses, continue flocking to the Newroz area and saluting the self-rule resistance in Bakur (North) Kurdistan.
