While the state of siege in Cizre and Silopi has left 25 days behind, an unnamed aggression is also going on in some neighborhoods of Şırnak city. State forces conducted a heavy aggression on Şırnak's central Dicle neighborhood at around 23:30 Monday night, targeting the area with gunfire from armored vehicles and A-4 heavy arms till early morning.
Two youths were killed by snipers that night and their bodies still remain at the scene where they were murdered. Families are not allowed the retrieve their children's bodies which have now been covered with snow as the aggression and obstacle by police continues.
While people have started vigil in Dicle neighborhood to reclaim the bodies, families of three Kurdish woman politicians killed in Silopi 3 days ago stated that they will not reclaim the bodies of their children until bodies of the 2 youths killed in Şırnak are given to their families.
Family of 19-year-old Çetin Taşar who was killed in Şırnak's Bahçelievler neighborhood 3 days ago said they will not get their son's body either until all slain civilians are enabled burial.
People of Şırnak have in the meantime brought the life to a standstill today in protest at the denial of permission for the families to get their children's bodies which continue to suffer from state atrocity even after death.
