Police have attacked the people joining the funeral of a recently fallen guerrilla in Nusaybin district of Mardin.HPG's (People's Defense Forces) YJA-Star (Free Women's Troops) member Lütfiye Bulut (Jinda Mardin) fell a martyr during a clash with Turkish forces in Kızıltepe district on 27 December.

Thousands of people have gathered at  Newroz Square in Nusaybin where a funeral ceremony took place before the mass started to march to Hacılar Cemetery for burial.

Police teams obstructed the mass on Midyat Street, and soon later attacked them with tear gas and water cannons. Youths are responding to the ongoing crackdown by police forces.
