Large numbers of people have gathered at Amed's Dağkapı Square today noon upon a call by provincial organisations of DBP and HDP.

Police forces have opened fire on masses that gathered in the area to protest the ongoing siege and onslaught by Turkish state forces in Sur district which continues since the murder of Amed Bar President Tahir Elçi near Foor Footed Minaret on 28 November.
