As popular resistance continues in the areas of self-rule, state forces continue their genocidal attacks against civilians.

Two brothers, Nidar Sümer (17) and Halis Sümer (45), who live in Dağkapı neighborhood wanted to go to a neighbor to get some water they had run out of at home. The brothers were shot by special operation police soon after they went out, which left both heavily wounded.

While state hospital sent no ambulance to the neighborhood on grounds of security, Nidar and Halis Sümer remained at the scene for half an hour, after which an ambulance belonging to the district municipality rushed them to Cizre State Hospital. Both have lost their lives at hospital short after referral.
