Bahçelievler neighborhood of Amed’s Silvan district has been besieged by the Turkish police Sunday noon.

Special operations units dispatched to the neighborhood in armored vehicles have blocked all the points leading to the neighborhood. Some residents that wanted to leave the neighborhood had their ID cards confiscated and not allowed to move.

No information is available yet regarding the cause of the siege.
