PUK’s Qadir Ezîz: Supporting Rojava is our national duty

PUK Politbureau Member Qadir Ezîz said, “Supporting the people and the fighters of Rojavayê (Western) Kurdistan is a national duty for the Kurdish individual.”

Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Politbureau Member Qadir Ezîz spoke to RojNews about the Turkish state’s attacks on Afrin and Rojavayê Kurdistan and, condemning the Turkish state’s attacks, said: “Supporting Rojava is our national duty. Erdoğan is waging a war against the Kurdish people and pro-freedom circles.”

Qadir Ezîz said there should be a national approach to the attacks against Rojavayê Kurdistan: “Our approach is a national approach. Supporting the people and the fighters of Rojavayê Kurdistan is a national duty for all of us. These attacks are a conspiracy enacted by the Turkish state together with their cohorts.”

Qadir Ezîz said, “I salute the resistance of the Rojava fighters and our heroic people. Our people possess the will to resist these vile and inhuman attacks. I believe that our fighters’ and our people’s will in Rojava and support for Afrin will be named as such internationally.”

CALL FOR SUPPORT FOR ROJAVAYÊ KURDISTAN

Qadir Ezîz called for support for the people of Rojavayê Kurdistan: “I am calling on all the Kurdish people, all organizations and political parties to offer their support for Rojava without hesitation. Raise your voice with demonstrations and diplomatic reactions. The Turkish state had a hand in the conspiracy in Bashûrê (Southern) Kurdistan after the referendum. And now they want to implement this conspiracy in Rojavayê Kurdistan.

“THIS WAR IS AGAINST THE WHOLE KURDISH NATION AND ALL PRO-FREEDOM CIRCLES”

Qadir Ezîz continued: “Erdoğan has declared war on the whole of the Kurdish nation. In the face of this issue, to prevent attacks and threats, we need to display national unity. Because this war is waged against the whole of the Kurdish nation and all pro-freedom circles. It is especially against those who do legitimate work in the human rights field.”

Qadir Ezîz concluded with: “I condemn these attacks. I believe these plans and attacks by the Turkish state will be voided. Our people have shown the world in Kobanê that they possess a great will, and they will defend their gains with the same will.”
