PYD visits PUK for Afrin

PYD Co-chair Şahoz Hesen has visited PUK with a delegation.

A delegation headed by Democratic Union Party (PYD) Co-chair Şahoz Hesen continues its visits in Southern Kurdistan. The delegation paid a visit to the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) in Sulaymaniyah in this scope. The delegation was welcomed by PUK Politburo official Mele Bextiyar at PUK Political School.

PUK Politburo official Mele Bextiyar recalled that fighters giving a heroic battle in Afrin are mounting a historic resistance for 55 days now, saying; “The people of Afrin are resisting one of NATO’s largest army in a heroic manner. Delegations went to Afrin for solidarity and our support will continue.”

HESEN: POLITICIANS SHOULD TAKE A STEP

Speaking after, PYD Co-chair Şahoz Hesen said the following; “I want to thank the people of Southern Kurdistan as they have strongly supported Afrin. The invasion attacks against Afrin are directed against Manbij, Qamishlo and Southern Kurdistan as well. We asked Southern Kurdistan officials to take a step and provide further support for Afrin.”

The PYD delegation will also visit the Gorran (Change) Movement in Sulaymaniyah.
