Refugees flock to Manbij

Migration Bureau of Manbij Democratic Civilian Administration announced that 40 thousand refugees have arrived at the liberated areas in Manbij over the past 2 days.

Tens of thousands of civilians are forced to abandon their homes because of the clashes between the Ba'athist regime and ISIS gangs and the occupant Turkish army in and around al Xefisa town in southern Manbij. Manbij Military Council provides security for the civilians seeking refuge in Manbij.

Migration Bureau of Manbij Democratic Civilian Administration announced that 40 thousand refugees have arrived at the liberated areas in Manbij over the past 2 days.

Migration Bureau official Yusuf Ehmed stated that they have limited resources and are having difficulty satisfying the needs of all refugees. Ehmed said “Many refugees sleep on the floor. We do not have the means to buy tents for the refugees.”

Lastly, Ehmed called upon international organizations and human rights groups to provide urgent aid for the refugees.
