A house on the Sıtkı Göral Avenue in the Huzurevleri neighborhood in Amed’s central Kayapınar district was raided by the police Friday morning.

The raid had helicopter support and gunfire was heard from the house during the raid. The area has been blockaded by the police.

According to Turkish sources, 1 police officer lost his life in the clashes that ensued and 5 others were wounded. One person in the house also lost his life.
