Fighters partaking in the Operation Wrath of Euphrates spoke to ANF and stated that they will clear western Raqqa of ISIS and encircle the city within the scope of the Operation Wrath of Euphrates.

SDF fighter Yusuf Yusuf: Our operation was launched to encircle the Raqqa city and liberate it from ISIS occupation which continues for more than two years now. International community remained silent on this occupation and our city was left for dead.

Our forces have numerous times conducted operations against ISIS gangs and consequently liberated a number of regions in Syria. Still, the operations of our forces did not receive any international support. Furthermore, many malicious circles, the Turkish state in the first place, spread black propaganda against our forces and tried to make the peoples of Syria confront one other. Our forces partaking in this operation are from Kurdish, Arab, Syriac and Turkmen peoples, which indeed reveals the richness of the Syrian territory.

Those forces that are under the SDF umbrella but are not participating in this operation did not join the offensive as they are deployed on the line of defense. These continue protecting our lands from where they are against the occupant Turkish state, ISIS and Syrian National Coalition gangs.

We as SDF will encircle Raqqa and liberate the city and our lands from ISIS groups soon.

SDF fighter Mihemmed El Cadir: We have started the second stage in the operation to encircle and liberate Raqqa we had launched on November 5. As part of the second stage, we have cleansed and liberated many villages and hamlets from ISIS occupation so far.

Within the scope of our ongoing operation, we aim to clear western Raqqa entirely of ISIS gangs. As we pay utmost attention to the safety of civilians, we are acting very carefully and conducting our offensives with caution.

As SDF fighters we show a maximum effort to practice all international laws and we want this truth to be known by everyone. Our goal is to cleanse all the occupied lands of Syria of ISIS, Al-Nusra, Ahrar Al-Sham, Sultan Murat Brigade and other gang groups. We will eradicate all the occupant forces from Syrian soil and the victory will be of SDF and Syrian peoples."
