Policemen besieged Şemdinli Municipality and prevented municipal workers from starting the workday.

Şemdinli Co-Mayor Seferi Yılmaz, Yılmaz’s wife Pınar Çaçan, HDP District Co-President Cabbar Taş and municipal worker Cahit Erler had been detained two days ago.

The siege continues as police prevent municipal workers from entering the building and starting to work. This morning, police told municipal employees "Come when we summon you. The municipality is closed now.”
