Seven people including three wounded killed in Sur

7 people, 3 being wounded, from whom no news has been received since early this morning as they remained trapped in Amed's central Sur district, have been killed.

Diyarbakır Governor's Office has made a statement regarding 7 people, 3 being wounded, from whom no news has been received since early this morning as they remained trapped in Amed's central Sur district. According to the statement, all the 7 people were killed.

The Governor's statement claimed that “7 people trapped under debris conducted an armed attack against state forces, which led to a clash, during which all the 7 were killed, who included one woman”.

Dilber Bozkurt, one of these 7 people, had spoken to DİHA early this morning, saying; “We will remain under debris if diggers continue to work today as well. Maybe we have just 5 minutes left”.

Bozkurt also spoke on phone with HDP Diyarbakır deputy Nursel Aydoğan, saying; “If something happens to us, be sure that we have been executed”. Bozkurt listed the names of 5 out of 6 people as follows; Mehmet Abdullah Yalvarma, Mahsun Gürkan, Mazlum Karakoç, Cüneyt Aydemiş, Eşref Polat.

Mahsun Gürkan is one of the two youths who had been seen running one after another at the scene where Diyarbakır Bar Association President Tahir Elçi was murdered near Foor-Footed Minaret on 28 November.
