Shengal Construction Assembly issued a written statement on the establishment of North Syria Democratic Federal System in Rojava. The assembly saluted the declaration of a federal zone in Rojava, and described the federation as a hope for Democratic Syria. The assembly stated that the federation promised a bright future to all peoples of Syria, and the only way to prevent the further disintegration of Syria.

'WE MUST PROTECT THE FEDERATION'

In its statement, the Shengal Construction Assembly acknowledged the contribution of Assyrian, Arab, Kurdish, Êzidî and Syriac martyrs to the 5 years-old struggle in Rojava, and said that the declaration for federation would benefit the peoples of Syria and the Middle East. The assembly called upon the UN and European countries to not have a narrow-minded approach and support the federation. Lastly, the assembly noted that the growth of the federation could end the bloodshed in Syria and saluted the struggle of Syrian Democratic Forces that form the backbone of the new federation.
