In the wake of the invasion attacks and massacres on Efrîn and Shehba perpetrated by the Turkish state, Shengal Democratic Autonomy Assembly issued a statement in which they declared their full solidarity with Efrîn in all possible manners.

The statement of Shengal Democratic Autonomy Assembly said the following:

"It is for a while, that the public observes the Turkish state and their accomplices failing in their politics once again. To conceal their defeat, they started to put into practice all of their dirty plans and inhumane practices. It is well-known that the Turkish state and their accomplices provide ISIS gangs with all kinds of support since ever.

The fall of ISIS in Raqqa and Mosul strikes the Turkish state and their accomplices with great fear and incited them to put into action all measures they have, in order to ensure the survival of ISIS. They assaulted Western Kurdistan (Rojava) to revive the strength of ISIS, which should be remarked given the fact that the force which is fighting ISIS gangs fiercely and pushes them on the verge of extinction, are the SDF-Syrian Democratic Forces.

Driven by the intention to save ISIS from extinction, the Turkish state launched direct attacks on the SDF-forces and has initiated a recent advanced invasion attack on Efrîn and perpetrated massacres in Shehba.

We, the Democratic Autonomy Assembly of Shengal, consider these attacks on Efrîn as attacks on our Êzidî community and on our holy land Êzidxan itself, because the mentality which assaults Efrîn is the very same that raided the Êzidî people in August 2014, after which countless Êzidî women and children have been enslaved and sold in markets.

For that reason, the Shengal Women’s Units (YJŞ) and Shengal Resistance Units (YBŞ) have been formed to be a bulwark to such genocides and massacres. First groups of the Shengal Women’s Units (YJŞ) headed already to Raqqa and joined the 'Great Battle', to fulfill revenge for the slain girls and women of Shengal and ensure the liberation of those who are still enslaved.

We as the Democratic Autonomy Assembly of Shengal salute them and endorse their participation in this great campaign. We declare them our full commitment to the very end. We salute and endorse all forces which partake in this campaign and fight ISIS.

In this respect we repeat our condemnation towards the fascist Turkish state for their attacks on Efrîn, which we regard as attacks on the whole humanity itself. We call on all human rights institutions and organisations and all those who deem themselves human, and the Êzidî women, to stand up in resistance and confront these immoral and inhumane assaults on Efrîn. "
