The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that four university students were killed and two others injured as a result of a rocket attack carried out by Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham and their allied factions operating under the banner of “Deterrence of Aggression” operations room.
According to the report, the attack was directed against the university student dormitory in Al-Hamdaniyah neighbourhood in Aleppo city which is controlled by regime forces.
The rocket fire also caused material damage to the building and triggered a state of panic among students.
In the meantime, the operation “Deterrence of Aggression” launched by the HTS and allied gangs in Aleppo countryside continues for the third consecutive day.
SOHR reported that HTS factions managed to take control of the villages of Tel Karatbin, Abu Qansah and Al-Taliha in Idlib countryside and the villages and towns of Al-Mansourah, Jib Kaas and Al-Bawabiyah and Khan Tuman silos in the southern and western countryside of Aleppo. This followed violent clashes between both sides, which coincided with heavy bombardment by opposition factions to pave the way for advancing into those areas. Meanwhile, violent clashes are underway on the frontline of Saraqeb city in the eastern countryside of Idlib.
According to SOHR data, the number of combatants killed during the “Deterrence of Aggression” operation has increased to 218. The fatalities include 114 HTS members, 21 members of the “National Army” factions, 62 members of regime forces, including four officers, six Iranian-backed militiamen, 15 militiamen of different nationalities, including an Iranian advisor. In addition, 20 civilians have been killed since the beginning of the large-scale military operation on Wednesday, November 27.
