Smokes rising and artillery fire heard from Xerabê Bava

Turkish soldiers continue to block the delegations that want to reach Nusaybin's Xerabê Bava village from where reports of executions, torture and mass arrests are coming through amid the ongoing siege of state forces.

A DTK, DBP, HDP and Peace Mothers delegation once again attempted to go to village in Mardin's Nusaybin district from where reports of executions, torture, disappearances and mass detentions come through amid the ongoing siege of Turkish state forces for 11 days now.

The delegation composed of DTK Co-chair Leyla Güven, HDP Mardin MP Erol Dora, HDP Amed MP Ziya Pir, HDP Batman MP Ayşe Acar Başaran, DBP Group Deputy Chairperson Gülcihan Şimşek, DBP Deputy Co-chair Mehmet Arslan, HDP/DBP administrators from Mardin and Nusaybin and Peace Mothers has again faced an obstruction by Turkish soldiers deployed 15 kilometers away from the village.

Blocking the road with armored vehicles, soldiers announced that they would let no one pass this point.

As the delegation keeps waiting in the area, smokes are rising and sounds of artillery fire are heard from the village.
