Amidst the Turkish state’s increasingly ongoing occupation attacks against guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq), members of the South Kurdistan Youth Initiative made a press statement in Sulaymaniyah city on Tuesday.

The activists announced that they would stage a long march from Koye district of Sulaymaniyah to Behdinan.

“We call on all youth organizations to stand together against any form of invasion,” said the activists, calling on all parties and organizations in South Kurdistan to ensure participation in the march which will kick off at 11 am on June 1st.
