The ‘Stop Organization for Anti-Corruption’ which is based in Hewlêr (Erbil) and operates throughout Southern Kurdistan has been closed down by asayish (public security) forces on the grounds that it does not have a licence.

The platform, founded three years ago, focuses on the cases of corruption by the Kurdistan Regional Government.
