Tevgera Azadi official and 14 other detainees go on hunger strike
Tevgera Azadi Sulaymaniyah province co-chair Azad Hecî Omer who was detained during mass protests on 19 December and 14 other detainees have started hunger strike in custody.
Tevgera Azadi Sulaymaniyah province co-chair Azad Hecî Omer, who was detained in Sulaymaniyah on the second day of mass street protests in Southern Kurdistan last week, has gone on hunger strike along with 14 other people in custody on Sunday.
Omer is denied meeting with his family and lawyers by Sulaymaniyah asayish (public security). Appeals of his family and lawyers to meet him are rejected.
