Yet another curfew has been imposed on Mardin's Nusaybin district where popular resistance against genocidal attacks endures for months. The curfew will go into effect as of 00:00 tonight but state forces are heavily deployed across the town already with dozens of tanks and armored vehicles.
Hours before beginning of the curfew, state forces patrolling in armored vehicles opened fire on people in town centre.
Three people were heavily wounded as a result of the attack and taken to Mardin State Hospital. Two of these, whose names weren't immediately available, were later referred to Amed.
The neighborhood of Abdulkadirpaşa is also targeted by intense shelling from armored vehicles.
Yüksekova (Gever) district of Hakkari will also go under curfew as of 22:00 tonight. 80 tanks and thousands of special operation members have been dispatched to the district in recent days.
Turkish Minister of Interior announced two days ago that Turkish forces would soon start an operation in Yüksekova, Nusaybin and Şırnak.
