Three trustees appointed by the government to DBP-held municipality in Amed's Ergani district have submitted their resignation.
Trustees Ramazan Hekimoğlu and Ali İpek, who had been appointed to replace the co-mayor Aygün Taşkın and Municipal Council member Hasip Demirtekin on September 13, resigned from their post yesterday.
The third trustee in the municipality, Mustafa Yalçın who replaced the Municipal Council member Sabiha Alçiçek last month, has also resigned from his post today. Alçiçek had been jailed but subjected to supervised release a while ago.
With this most recent resignation, there is no trustee left in the Municipality of Ergani district.
