In Gever (Yüksekova) district of Hakkari, police and special operation teams attacked the neighborhoods of Yeşildere and Dize last night.

After blockading the Dize neighborhood with dozens of armored vehicles at around 03:00 at night, police teams started to open random fire on houses and barricades in the streets, which left three people wounded.

Gever People's Assembly Co-Chair Sibel Çapraz, who also suffered a critical injury in the attack, was rushed to Yüksekova State Hospital where she was taken under surgery. She is reported to be remaining in critical condition.

Out of the other two youths shot by police, Sefer Terzioğlu was taken under surgery at hospital, while the other was treated by people in the neighborhood.

As residents started to carry out resistance, one armored police vehicle was destroyed and another was damaged.

Hundreds of people from Kitle and Orman neighborhoods who started to march to Dize neighborhood on hearing about the attacks were also assaulted by police teams.

The offensive by police forces and resistance by the people continues.
