The curfew started at 5 a.m. on Wednesday morning and involves forty-two villages in Silvan, Hazro, Kocakoy, Kup and Lice.
The governate didn’t give any details about the purpose of the curfew but Turkish army usually demands a curfew declaration from the authorities ahead of a military operation.
The curfew is declared in the following 42 villages:
Lice: Ortaç, Yalaza, Çavundur, Dolunay, Bağlan, Kabakaya, Kutlu, Oyuklu, Türeli, Tepe, Budak, Dallıca, Sığınak, Kıyıköy, Çıralı, Kıpçak, Zümrüt and Damar villages
Kulp: Kamışlı, Çukurca, Akbulak, Demirli, Bayırköy, Düzce, Temren, Güleç, Taşköprü and Barın villages
Hazro: Gözebaşı, Sarıerik, Çitlibahçe, Meşebağları, Kırmataş, Terdöken and Kavaklıboğaz villages
Silvan: Dolaplıdere, Dağcılar, Mutluca and Çaldere villages
Kocaköy: Boyunlu, Arkbaşı and Tepecik villages
