An air attack by the Turkish state has targeted a civilian car in Sulaymaniyah city of southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq) on Sunday.
According to reports, the attack took place in the village of Kani Lan in the Pishder town. Local official Helşo Bekir Weysi spoke to RojNews and stated that the attack by Turkish jets at 13:20 local time today targeted a civilian car, killing four people who have not been identified yet.
“This is not a military zone, but a civilian settlement, very close to Helsho and Qeladize. It is a road used by the local people daily. The area houses farms belonging to villagers,” Weysi said.
Bekir Weysi stated that works are underway to identify those killed in the attack.
